On December 15, 2016, as part of the Pafos 2017 European Capital of Culture, artist Efi Spyrou presented the visceral performance MEDEA of the Seven Swords.
Under the expert curation of Nicos Charalampidis, this site-specific work transformed the classic myth into a contemporary ritual. The “Seven Swords” symbolized the psychological and social pressures of the feminine experience, performed against the stark, historical backdrop of Pafos.
